PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS SOFTWARE

The Near Infrared Research Corporation provides the only commercially available software to calibrate spectrometers to perform qualitative chemical analysis combining Mahalanobis Distance mathematics with extensive automatic wavelength search capabilities. The program package incorporates cutting-edge algorithms to enable the computer to automatically search for and select the optimum wavelengths to use for the analysis, and a program to identify unknowns. These programs give the user the ability to create his own pattern recognition libraries, which can thus contain proprietary materials without concern that the materials or the spectra will become public knowledge.

The two search algorithms enhance flexibility by allowing the user to control the nature and extent of the search. One algorithm is a uniquely efficient algorithm to control the search pattern; this is useful for situations where many wavelengths are to be included, the other search algorithm provides flexible searches up to all-possible-combinations searching.

The programs can be supplied in a configuration to run directly under WINDOWS or configured to run within Galactic Industries’ GRAMS program package.

An identification program is also included that allows future "unknown" materials to be identified based on their measured spectra and the results from the identification algorithms.
